Why an evacuation plan?
Under the Dutch Building Decree (Bouwbesluit), an evacuation plan is mandatory when a building requires a fire alarm system. Factors such as the building’s use, floor area and height determine this requirement. A good plan meets the NEN-8112 standard.
What does the evacuation plan contain?
- Evacuation routes and assembly points, matched to the building and its risks.
- Allocation of tasks in emergencies for staff and BHV (in-house emergency response) officers.
- Communication with local emergency services.
- Accessibility for people with disabilities.
Our approach
We assess your location and risks, create a tailored plan and provide clear floor plans. We also offer practical training and regular updates of the plan. That way your organisation is always prepared.
